Sorbitan trioleate is a triester of oleic acid and hexitol anhydrides derived from sorbitol. It is a premium water-in-oil (W/O) emulsifier engineered to deliver exceptional stability and luxurious textures in high-performance cosmetic formulations.
A low HLB, non-ionic, and versatile surfactant and emulsifier, it provides a very soft skin feel. Being oil-soluble, it serves as an effective coupling agent and co-emulsifier for mineral oil. It creates rich, non-greasy emulsions perfect for luxury creams, protective balms, and makeup products.
As a water-in-oil (W/O) emulsifier, it evenly disperses the aqueous phase in the oil phase, forming stable emulsion systems for creams and lotions to prevent oil-water separation.
Assists in dispersing water-insoluble ingredients to improve formula compatibility. Used in color cosmetics to enhance pigment dispersion for uniform coloration.
